Preston Williams – WR

Preston Williams has a lot going for him but he isn’t the next Jerry Rice or anything near the A.J. Green’s and Julio Jones’ of the world. Fans expect him to make some incredible leap into the 2020 season after missing a lot of time last year due to a torn ACL.

I admit, Williams is fun to watch and I’m not knocking him in any way but we have a very small body of work to review when we are looking at him. Fans believe that the return of Williams in 2020 and DeVante Parker on the other side makes the Dolphins receivers close to one of the best in the league but that isn’t the case. There are still questions.

That being said, it is so hard not to be impressed with what he turned in last year. In his eight games, he averaged four receptions per and posted 428 yards on those 32 receptions. He averaged 13.4 per catch but more importantly, he rarely dropped a pass and this was with Fitzpatrck at QB.

His three touchdowns can’t be discounted either. Williams brings with him a lot of expectations for the 2020 season and beyond but we can’t really say that he is an absolute steal as an undrafted player just yet but something tells me by the end of 2020, we surely just might.
