DeVante Parker – wide receiver

Is there any player on the Miami Dolphins roster that is more underrated than DeVante Parker? Even Miami Dolphins fans didn’t buy into what was being sold to us by the team entering the 2019 season.

Most Miami Dolphins fans, and this guy too, thought it was time for Parker to be traded or released as the 2019 season arrived. In 2018, the Dolphins opted to pick-up his contract and that made fans question what was going on.

When March of 2019 rolled around, fans were not shocked when the Dolphins pulled the 5th year option but when it came with a two-year extension, that surprised the fans. Parker took less money and banked on himself. He turned in a stellar year that admittedly was stronger later in the 2019 campaign than at the beginning.

Parker his the 1,202-yard plateua on the year and added nine touchdowns but still, Parker was not on the Pro Bowl team, even when replacements were named, Parker was left off the list. Despite better stats than other receivers, he was not included on the 2020 NFL top-100 list either.

Dolphins fans are not sleeping on Parker anymore and the 2020 season may be the year he gets the national attention that Miami fans have been expecting.
