Kyle Van Noy was one of the Miami Dolphins prized off-season acquisitions.

There is no denying this is the defensive leader and watching him on this side of the field will be a nice change from watching him line up with those Patriot colors. Now we get to see if Van Noy was a product of the Patriot defense or if is as special as he has been made out to be.

I’m guessing the latter. Van Noy is a seasoned veteran and players gravitate towards him. He knows the Patriots well, he knows the defensive scheme and the offensive tendencies. He also knows Bill Belichick. He knows that team will be prepared.

On the field, we should see Van Noy working to get pressure up field and forcing Cam Newton into making mistakes. He has the ability to contain the edge and recover. He will need to hold the outside and funnel any outside rushing attack back towards the center of the field.

In pass protection, Van Noy can cover and has practiced against some of the best slot and tight ends in the business and the Patriots used them well. We can expect them to try and continue to do that. Van Noy is a key to this weekend’s game but he is also someone you just want to watch and enjoy.
