The Miami Dolphins finally managed to stop the run.

The Seattle Seahawks were held to less than 100 yards as they only reached 98 on the day on 26 carries. That is a big change from the first three weeks and marks the second week in a row that the defense held an opponent to less that 100.

Christian Wilkins is a big part of this defensive line and his play on the field is starting to match the vocal leadership he continues to display. It’s infectious and and the players around him have stepped up as well.

This is a step in the right direction and needs to continue. Miami’s defense will get better as the season progresses but they need to continue to stop the rushing game of opposing offenses. They did a good job of keeping Russell Wilson in the pocket as well and came away with two sacks.

There are issues in the secondary but the Dolphins are still waiting for Byron Jones to get back on the field. He should help that defensive front against the pass by giving them more time to get to the QB.

Regardless, after the first two weeks that saw the Patriots and Bills put over 100 yards on Miami it was nice to see the Dolphins keep it under that number for the 2nd week.
