Davon Godchaux is currently on IR but his value to the Miami Dolphins may have already taken a hit.

Davon Godchaux – DT

It is unclear what Godchaux’s monetary demands will be this off-season but he could very well see himself getting more money from the market where teams tend to overpay than with Miami who no longer views him as the starter.

Godchaux is a depth player now in Miami. Christian Wilkins and Raekwon Davis are taking over the top two spots which leaves Godchaux on the outside in a contract year.

When he is on his game, he can be very good but he is inconsistent at times. The Dolphins defense has actually played better up front without Godchaux which doesn’t bode well for his future with the team.

Personally, I like Godchaux and I think he will eventually develop into a consistent defender and he has a great attitude but I’m not seeing his future with the Dolphins beyond this season. His biceps injury that put him on IR could heal in time for this season but it is unlikely and he may have already played his last game with Miami.
