Tua Tagovailoa

The NFL game is not too big for Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins are benefiting.

Following the game on Sunday, Tagovailoa commented that he thought the NFL would be a bit harder. He said the game is already slowing down for him and that is both incredibly good and incredibly scary. He said that he was expecting more looks from defenses as well. Put it out there and you might get your wish.

On Sunday, Tua wasn’t perfect but he completed 15/25 for 169 yards and two touchdowns. Tua may think the game is slowing down but he too needs to slow down. He threw a few passes that had no shot at being caught and others that shouldn’t have been thrown at all. He was lucky a few times to not turn the ball over.

Still, there was a poise and calm about him and when the game momentum clearly shifted towards the Chargers, he lined up his team and drove the field putting them in scoring position for Jason Sanders at minimum. Sanders was 3 for 4 on Sunday as he ended his streak.

Tagovailoa just needs to slow down a bit and let the plays develop. On Sunday, he stood out more as a leader than an executioner but when he needed to make a play, he did and that is the difference he is making on the field.
