The linebackers are good but Miami Dolphins really needs a standout.

Jerome Baker is a very good linebacker but he can get confused at times. Andrew Van Ginkel is a lot of fun to watch and can make plays but he isn’t considered a three down linebacker. This is what Miami needs and if they can add someone like Micah Parsons out of Penn State, they may fix the issue once and for all.

Miam’s linebackers are adequate for what Flores wants to do but when the game starts to turn, they tend to get bullied by pulling guards or interior lineman. They work well for the scheme but they need the scheme to mask their inabilities and inconsistency.

For the Dolphins, finding a top linebacker that will explode plays and lead the defense is just as important as finding a top deep threat receiver. A top interior linebacker will make plays by himself instead of funneling the plays to others which often tends to lead to big gains. Part of the Dolphins problems in stopping the run is that the linebackers are not filling the gaps and making the plays at the line of scrimmage. To say nothing about pass defense which could use a boost as well.
