3. Salvon Ahmed/ Myles Gaskin

Ahmed: 12 carries/ 43 rushing yards/ 6 targets/ 5 receptions/ 31 yards

The University of Washington Huskies duo finally has a chance to hit the field together and receive meaningful snaps. The question is, is Myles Gaskin healthy enough to finally take the field again?

Gaskin hit the injured reserve following the Dolphins win against the Los Angeles Rams, and an injury to Matt Breida and lackluster performances by Jordan Howard, who is now on the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad, and Patrick Laird led to Ahmed being able to get a shot.

Since then, Ahmed has produced highly and could look to split carries with Gaskin once he is off injured reserve, which could most likely be this week. If both Gaskin and Ahmed are active this week, the two should look at splitting touches, especially since Gaskin would just be getting off the injured reserve.

It is extremely possible that Ahmed handles goal line and short yardage situations, while Gaskin handles passing downs and the two split early down work. However, if Gaskin stays on injured reserve, Ahmed could be looking at a huge day as the Jets defense has been below average and the Dolphins will look to help Tagovailoa as much as they can.
