5 Miami Dolphins players that should make this year’s Pro Bowl
By Brian Miller
Miami Dolphins corner Xavien Howard should 100% make the Pro Bowl and if he doesn’t, discount the honor for good.
There is no better cornerback in the NFL as it relates to interceptions and impact plays than Xavien Howard and it is ridiculous that he is not receiving more national attention.
Howard seven interceptions on the season which is good enough for number one in the NFL. J.C. Jackson of the Patriots is 2nd with six in the AFC. Behind the two of them, is two players with four and seven with three.
Howard has been an all-around top corner in 2020 and is only one of four corners listed in the top 10 of the interception leaders in the AFC. Howard also has 27 solo tackles and eight assists. Jackson, his top competition, has 19 tackles and three assists.
We can’t say for certain that Howard is a lock for the AFC roster although he 100% should be. He is having an incredible season that isn’t over yet but we have all seen the Dolphins players get shunned because of the way the league handles voting.
Howard is the Dolphins’ best player on defense and maybe the entire team right now. He is the team’s best chance at a Pro Bowl player and should be the top corner when the voting concludes and not just in the AFC, he is the best in the league at his position and that should be reflected on his vote tally.
