The quarterback turned linebacker posses a high football IQ the Miami Dolphins and a nose for the football similar to a poor-mans Luke Kuechly.

Round 2 Pick 40

UNC LB Chazz Surratt

The quarterback turned linebacker is back on our list for obvious reasons. High football IQ and a nose for the football makes him the perfect linebacker to place in the middle of a Brian Flores defense.

Many Dolphins fans will have the chance to watch Surratt first hand this weekend when his UNC Tar Heels face off against the Miami Hurricanes of primetime. This will show how good of a football player he truly is.

While he many not surpass his 115 tackles from last season, Surratt is on pace to surpass 90 tackles on the COVID struck season and be the leader of the defense of a top-25 ranked Tar Heels football team.

At the next level, Surratt will have the ability to show how his athleticism and football IQ translate. There are still a few question marks surrounding Surratt.

Including, if he can withstand the physicality of the position at the pro level after playing it for only two seasons as Chapel Hill. As well as if he is able to cover running backs and the speed of NFL tight ends.

While it would take time for those question to be answered, Surratt is still a logical choice for the Dolphins defense.
