Jason Sanders looks to continue his near flawless season for the Miami Dolphins.

1. Jason Sanders

4/4 field goals, 1/1 extra points, 13 total points

If we put together a list of who have been the Dolphins most important players and the best players on the season, where would Sanders land in both those lists?

For reference here is my list:

Most Important Dolphins players in 2020:

1.Jason Sanders

Best Dolphins player in 2020:

1.Xavien Howard
2.Jason Sanders

You could have the same list or an entirely different one, but Sanders has been an important piece of the Dolphins team this year and has even helped mask the lacking offensive production.

Sunday was the fourth game of the season in which Sanders attempted at least 4 field goals, it was the third time he made every single one, fourth time he has hit 3 or more, and the 11th time he went perfect on his kicks for the afternoon.

Yes, those are great numbers when you can almost consider the fact that Sanders basically won us the game when looking at the points. Obviously that isn’t the whole story, but it is what it is.

Sanders has gone perfect from extra points on the season and has missed one field goal all year. He is also among the league leaders in points.

Sanders efficiency alone makes him one of  the most important Dolphins and arguably the best offensive weapon we have.

Scoring wins games, and while 3 points isn’t 6, points are points and Sanders gives the Dolphins just that this season.
