The Miami Dolphins have to be impressed with the play of 2nd round pick Raekwon Davis.

It may not be much of a stretch to say that Raekwon Davis could take his place alongside the best 2nd-round draft picks in the last decade. Miami is finally getting this round correct. Xavien Howard in 2016, Jarvis Landry, and Mike Gesicki.

Davis has been exceptional this year and is a perfect compliment on the defensive line to Christian Wilkins. Entering last weekend, Davis held the most tackles by a rookie in the NFL. Yet he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.

His early Dolphins’ claim to fame came on draft day when the camera caught Brian Flores fist-pumping the air with excitement when they drafted him. He has lived up to the Brian Flores excitement.

Davis has 35 combined tackles in 13 games and has started 9 games this year. His run defense has improved considerably each week as well.
