The Miami Dolphins need a running back and this Clemson star would be a perfect fit.

Round 1, Pick 21

I was extremely surprised to see this player still available when the Dolphins’ second pick came around.  However, upon further inspection of the current draft order, the teams picking between 9 and 20 don’t really need a running back.  Therefore, the Dolphins sprint to the podium (whether physically or virtually) with their selection of Clemson running back Travis Etienne.

Even though he’s having a down year as a runner, Ettiene is still averaging 5.1 yards-per-carry and has double-digit rushing touchdowns for the fourth consecutive season.  At 5’10” and 210 pounds, Etienne is a well-proportioned back that has both power and speed.  Add to that, he is a great pass catcher out of the backfield.

With another year for the Dolphins offensive line to gel and Etienne in the backfield, the Dolphins have a chance for their best run game since the days of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams.
