Harris would give the Miami Dolphins the elite running back they are in desperate need for.

Round 2 Pick 37

Alabama RB Najee Harris

I am not a huge Travis Etienne fan, especially when you include his fumbles, but he is an elite back in this class. I just don’t think he and Harris should be spoken of in the same breath.

Everything Harris has been asked to do this season he has done, and done at an extremely high level. He runs, pass blocks, and is even a solid pass catcher.

Harris has the ability to mix speed, power, and elusiveness on every carry, a mixed bag similar to former Bama running back and current Tennessee Titan Derrick Henry. Henry is on pace to lead the league in rushing for the second straight season and is likely to once again help lead the Titans to a long playoff push.

Harris would be able to handle 20+ carries weekly and instantly be the workhorse for the Dolphins. Even if during his rookie season he is forced to split carries or touches with Myles Gaskin or Salvon Ahmed, I think Harris will still be highly productive.

I’m sure many teams regret passing on Henry, who was taken in the second round of the 2016 draft, but with Harris now in the draft, the Dolphins could fill their running back hole for a long time.
