Najee Harris gives the Miami Dolphins an elite backfield when paired with Myles Gaskin.

Round 2 Pick 36

Alabama RB Najee Harris

Dolphins fans will be cheering for the Tennessee Titans and Derrick Henry this week when the team will be matched up against the Houston Texans. If the Titans win, the Dolphins would secure the 3rd overall pick from the Texans and could land a franchise-changing tackle in Sewell.

However, When the Tennessee Titans played the Green Bay Packers all eyes were on Derrick Henry, but it was another big, strong, and fast running back that stole the show on Sunday night football. AJ Dillon, the second round running back out of Boston College, showed that the big-bodied running back that is Derrick Henry can be replicated.

Harris would be another one of these that can drastically change the Dolphins’ offense. The 6’2” 229-Lb running back from Alabama will more than likely gain another 10-15 pounds of muscle once he hits the NFL. But as a senior at Alabama, he rushed for 1,262 yards and 24 rushing touchdowns. He also added 32 receptions for 316 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The duo of Harris and Gaskin would give the Dolphins a dynamic running game and two electric, and efficient, pass-catching backs.

Three straight offensive selections for the Dolphins may not be what fans want, but adding Harris, Moore, and Sewell with the team’s first three picks will help Tagovailoa and improve the offense drastically.
