The Miami Dolphins go back to Alabama to find their center of the future.

Round 3 Pick 88

Alabama IOL Landon Dickerson

Yes, another offensive addition in this draft. It’s almost as if the Dolphins have more holes on their offense than on their defense. Dickerson suffered a knee injury in the Crimson Tides win over the Florida Gators and will be out for the college football playoffs, meaning the end of his career at Alabama.

For the Dolphins, they could draft Ted Karras’ replacement in Dickerson. Dickerson has experience playing with the current Dolphins quarterback after being a grad transfer from Florida State in 2019. Dickerson was recently named first-team All-American by multiple news outlets and has proven his worth as a starting center.

Adding Dickerson with the hopes of making him the future starting center, would give the Dolphins one of the youngest offensive lines in the entire league. It could also give the Phins one of the best lines in the whole league. With the impact and success this year’s offensive rookies have had, Chris Grier and Flores have done a great job of adding talent.

So if the team does add Harris and already have Tagovailoa, why not add the center that blocked for the two of them.

Nick Saban may not be a fan favorite for Dolphins fans, but if the Dolphins-Crimson Tide pipeline leads to victories, I say let’s do it more.
