Olave gives the Miami Dolphins a special wideout even if they miss on the big 3 in 2021.

Round 2 Pick 36

Ohio State WR Chris Olave

Waiting for a wideout in the second round is smart when the top three of Ja’Marr Chase, Devonta Smith, and Jaylen Waddle are gone before our second first round pick. Olave has the possibility of even sliding into the first, but in terms of what he brings to the table, and a later pick in this mock draft, he is the right choice.

Olave came on huge for the Buckeyes in their win over Clemson putting up a statline of 6 receptions, 132 yards, and 2 touchdowns. He is easily Fields favorite target on the season and has shown why.

The 4.4 wideout is a burner who is savvy enough to get open and make difficult catches. From what I’ve heard, read, and seen he can be compared to the Washington Football Team’s Terry McLaurin.

Olave would be able to line up opposite of Devante Parker and give Tagovailoa and the Dolphins offense a much needed boost in the widecore. After dropping what seemed like every ball thrown their way, the Dolphins wideout core could use a guy with sure hands and elite traits.

Olave could be the Jets second round pick, especially since they are projected to take Fields, but if they do pass on him he should be the choice for the Dolphins.

Improving the offsene is key with how poorly they looked, but the defense also needs a boost as well.
