Miami Dolphins address key needs in end of season 6-round mock draft

Dickerson and Tagovailoa’s former ties leads the center to the Miami Dolphins.
Round 3 Pick 82
Alabama IOL Landon Dickerson
I had Dickerson in the same slot in last week’s mock draft and I think this is a good land spot and a great fit for both Dickerson and the Dolphins.
With Ted Karras being on a one year deal, the Dolphins could opt to bring in a center who has experience with Tagovailoa and spend the money elsewhere. Possibly in landing a top flight wideout.
Dickerson is one of the best center’s in the draft and arguably had the best season of any center in 2020. It helps that he plays at Alabama with the stacked offensive talent available, but if you cannot block upfront all that talent is worthless.
Dickerson could slide around the offensive line and help out at the guard positions or even be the backup center if the Dolphins do bring Karras back on another one year deal. But the truth is that they should draft a center, either Dickerson in the third or even Oklahoma’s Creed Humphrey earlier in the draft.
Regardless, if the team does add Sewell with the third overall pick, adding another center should be key. Adding Tagovailoa’s center from Alabama would help cut the learning curve slightly since the two already have experience together.
