Schwartz’s world class speed is needed for the Miami Dolphins to excel in 2021 and beyond.

Round 4 Pick 114

Auburn WR Anthony Schwartz

If you are looking for speed at the wideout position, look no further than Auburn and Fort Lauderdale native Anthony Schwartz.

Schwartz was Auburn’s top wideout last season and his brilliant display of speed is apparent as he’s apparently clocked in a 40-time of 4.27. The Dolphins are in desperate need of this sort of speed as I believe they’ll look to move on past Albert Wilson in the offseason.

Yes the team has a speedster at wideout in Jakeem Grant, who was fairly good when he played this year, but the truth is at his height it’s difficult to rely on him to make those contested jump balls. At 6’1”, Schwartz possesses ideal height and speed to be a top flight wideout in this league.

Imagine a four wideout set with Parker, Preston Williams, Olave and Schwartz where the defense isn’t able to double team the speedster.

This offseason, the Dolphins must prioritize speed into their offense and allow Tagovailoa to air it out. Adding and improving the offensive line is a start, but he’ll need the weapons necessary to be able to confidently air it out.

Schwartz is one of those weapons and he could be used in a variety of ways. There is no need to over think the pick, Schwartz is the type of wideout all teams want to take and create their own Tyreek Hill out of.
