Draft prospects worth the 18th overall pick for the Miami Dolphins

Kwity Paye could be the Dolphins answer on the defensive edge.
Paye is a stellar talent on the outside and one of the lone bright spots on a bad Michigan football team. Paye is projected to be drafted between 12 and 20 so it’s not out of the question to see him at 18.
Paye is 6’4″ and weighs 277 pounds at last recording. He is a strong edge player who can keep offensive lineman off him. Well-rounded his play, Paye can drop off the line, set the edge, and rush the passer which is something the Dolphins need.
2019 was his first season as a starter and he made the most of it recording 6.5 sacks and 50 tackles. In the shortened 2020 season, he recorded two sacks and 16 tackles.
Paye fills a big need for the Dolphins but it will be contingent on a couple of factors. Did the Dolphins draft a defensive player with pick three overall? Did they address the position in free agency? How does Paye test at the NFL Combine? All of it will play a part as it does with every position.
The Dolphins will need to add defensive help at some point unless they fill those needs in free agency but Paye could be a steal at 18 if he falls that far but again, what will the Dolphins focus in the draft be this year? Need or best player available?
