The Miami Dolphins could get a lot out of Tulsa linebacker Zaven Collins.

Tulsa linebacker Zaven Collins is climbing draft boards but it shouldn’t be a surprise. He is a versatile linebacker that can rush off the edge well and would be a perfect compliment to Emmanuel Ogbah on the other side.

In 2020, Collins had four sacks and four interceptions. He also forced two fumbles and returned one of his INTs 95-yards in OT to beat Tulane.

Collins could be a versatile option for Brian Flores and in the current scheme, he could be electric out of the gate. At 6′ 4″ and 260 he plays fast and is equally good in coverage.

Versatility is the key in the Flores system and Collins can play outside or inside on the strong or weak side making him a perfect player for this defense.

Miami will need to decide what direction they go with this pick, however, the offensive needs do outweigh the defensive ones and the talent at 18 this year could be really good but Collins could be one of those players the Dolphins shouldn’t pass on unless they drafted Micah Parsons at the top of round one.

The need to help Tua Tagovailoa, however, could make Collins a luxury draft pick.
