The Miami Dolphins will have plenty of competition for Deshaun Watson

There has been no speculation of Deshaun Watson going to the Jaguars but should it be completely discounted?

The Jaguars hold the first-overall pick and the 25th overall pick. They also own two second-round picks as well. In total, the Jaguars have 11 draft picks. The first overall pick would be of interest to the Texans who would not receive a quarterback in return from the Jaguars.

Jacksonville is expected to take Trevor Lawernce with the first overall pick but what if the Texans got involved and Watson agreed to take a trade to the Jaguars where Urban Meyer is now the head coach?

What kind of compensation would head to the Texans would most likely include both of the Jaguar first-round picks and at least one next year considering the no-QB in return. Even Gardner Minshew would not be a major appeal to the Texans in this scenario.

Chances are the Jaguars will be smart enough to stay pat and keep their draft picks and move forward with Lawerence but Watson is appealing and because of their draft picks, they can’t be summarily tossed aside.
