The Miami Dolphins can only watch as other teams make moves for QBs right now but they could be players for Deshaun Watson.

We just looked at some of the QBs that could be on the move this year, whether via trade, free agency, release, or retirement. Does the question now become what teams will be in the market for a new quarterback? We can safely say the Rams are no longer looking for a new QB after acquiring Matt Stafford, but are the Lions out of the QB market?

Detroit – We can start here. Jared Goff has guaranteed money this year but next the Lions can move on. Getting a young QB in the fold now makes sense and the Lions may not have to trade up in the draft to get one. They can risk it and stay put.

Atlanta – The Falcons need a QB of the future whether they trade Ryan or not. The Falcons pick 4th overall.

Carolina Panthers – They have Teddy Bridgewater but he doesn’t appear to be a permanent solution. It would make sense to draft his replacement and let him sit for a year. That could come in this draft.

Indianapolis Colts – The Colts signed Philip Rivers last year and now Rivers is retired. The Colts need a QB. They have the 21st pick in the draft and could get involved in trade talks for some of the other QBs. They could also go after Dak Prescott in free agency if the Cowboys can’t get a deal done.

Dallas Cowboys – Dak Prescott is uncertain and may not be back. The Cowboys are not going to tag him again which means they need a QB. The Cowboys pick 10th in round one.

Houston Texans – All eyes are on Deshaun Watson and what happens with him.

Denver Broncos – There is growing speculation that the new GM may draft a replacement for Drew Lock.

New England Patriots – The Patriots can’t keep Can Newton as an option and Newton is set to hit free agency. The Patriots are bold enough to make big moves but the question is who will they gravitate towards?

San Francisco 49ers – There has been some chatter about Garoppolo. Keep an eye on New England as we said earlier.

New Orleans Saints – If Brees does retire, the Saints will need to address the position. They may opt to roll with Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston but I would be surprised if they didn’t go into the draft looking for one.
