New York Jets complete their future backfield duo by adding Travis Etienne
After trading back with Washington so that the Football Team can go and get their quarterback, the 49ers must focus on protecting theirs. The 49ers are getting back a ton of players this season after suffering major injuries during the season. Adding Vera-Tucker, the draft’s top interior offensive lineman, will be a major boost to their offensive line which was up and down during the season.
After failing to trade for Wentz and landing any of the first round quarterbacks, the Bears will need to look for a quarterback elsewhere. Here at pick 20, the team should take the best available lineman, which is Darrisaw, in order to protect whichever quarterback it is, even if its Nick Foles.
After trading for Wentz, the team’s next big position of need is left tackle. Anthony Castonzos retirement left a big hole for the Colts. Adding Cosmi, one of the top tackles in the draft, would become an instant contributor for the Colts and their Super Bowl aspirations.
Tennessee is in dire need of an upgrade at the EDGE position and Phillips would help give them that. After the failed project that was bringing in Jadeveon Clowney, the team will need an EDGE to help their defense.
The Jets already took Fields with the second overall, their next big position of need is running back and Etienne is the best fit for the West Coast offense. It can be argued that Alabama’s Najee Harris could be a better pro-prospect, but Etienne would be a better fit for this style of offense. The backfield duo would be a major upgrade for the Jets in Robert Salah’s first season as head coach.
