The Dolphins are widely expected to add multiple receivers this off-season. Whether it be in free agency or the draft; playmakers will be making their way to South Beach this Spring. The wide receiver draft class is unbelievable this year, and the Dolphins have the draft capital to reshape their offensive weaponry.

The free agent market is also ripe with options for the Dolphins to add receivers. The big names include players like Chris Godwin, Juju Smith-Schuster, and Kenny Golladay. The second tier of guys include players like Curtis Samuel, who is someone the Dolphins should absolutely be interested in. However, there is one high priced player who the Dolphins should absolutely be avoiding.

AJ Green was once a player that the Dolphins would have killed to have. He was a tremendous player and one of the best receivers in the NFL. Nowadays, his best moments are behind him. Green has been unable to stay on the field and has been largely inefficient in recent memory. After another inefficient season, it is likely that he will be on the market as opposed to returning to the Bengals.

Green, who has lost most of his athleticism, is someone the Dolphins should not be bringing in. The biggest problem with the Dolphins receiving core in 2020 was their inability to generate any type of separation versus man coverage. Green does not have the athleticism to consistently separate anymore, and the Dolphins should be looking to add younger and more reliable players.
