Dream Trade Idea: Miami trades Pick 3 to the Atlanta Falcons for Pick 4 and linebacker Deion Jones.

This trade idea is a crafty idea to add an elite defender to Miami. I have seen many people suggesting the Dolphins trade down one pick to the Atlanta Falcons at No. 4 and picking up some more ammunition to trade up from pick 18. If they could get a 2ndround pick to move down one spot, I would do that as well.

However, if I am the Dolphins, I am making Atlanta pay up to move up one spot in the 2021 NFL Draft. I would first ask for wide receiver Julio Jones. Atlanta would probably laugh at me, but it would be worth looking into as well. After missing out on Jones, I would be perfectly okay with settling with the other Jones, the stud linebacker.

Writing this article was fun, mainly because I got to picture some of these players playing for the dolphins and think about how cool it would be. Jones would be so awesome in Miami. His versatility and athleticism in Flores’ defense would be exceptional, and adding an elite defender to an already rising defense could put Miami over the top. Jones would instantly become the leader of the defense. Pairing him with another superstar in Xavien Howard would give the Dolphins two elite, superstar defenders.

Miami would only move back one spot, but they would fill a significant need at linebacker and still draft the player they wanted at No. 3. I think this would be a no-brainer for Miami.
