Dream Trade Idea: Miami trades Pick 3 to the Dallas Cowboys for Pick 10, Pick 44, running back Ezekiel Elliott, and wide receiver Michael Gallup.

Out of all of these trades, this one may be the most unrealistic and be the one Dolphins fans hate the most. However, I would make this trade in a heartbeat because I still believe that Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is an elite running back in the NFL.

Zeke had an awful year, and that was obvious. Luckily he did not catch COVID, but he did catch a case of fumblitis. It seemed like every single time he touched the ball, you started to worry about if he would hold onto it.

It was a bizarre season for him and one I’m sure Cowboys fans wish they could forget. But can they ignore it? Elliott got PAID and then went from one of the best running backs in the NFL to a guy who looked like he didn’t even want to play.

His backup running back Tony Pollard outplayed him, and Pollard looked like the guy who signed the massive contact, not Elliott. Like McCaffey, Miami would add an elite running back for Tagovailoa while still staying in the Top 10. Since they would be moving back so far, Dallas would have to give something else up, and what better than a starting receiver as well?

Michael Gallup has shown glimpses of being a dependable receiver in Dallas. With Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb there, too, it is tough for him to become the receiver I’m sure he wishes he could be. In Miami, he would be one of the main guys in the passing attack and shine.

Miami would have turned pick No. 3 into an elite starting running back, a solid starting receiver, and whoever they would draft at Pick 10 and pick 44. I would say that is an excellent Return on Investment.
