Miami Dolphins continue to add to their WR roster with two more additions

The Miami Dolphins are trying to get the best players on the roster and wide receiver is a position of need. They added two more today.
The Dolphins are continuing to revamp their wide receivers unit. Today, they announced the signing of two players but one they are familiar with. Mack Hollins returns to Miami after testing the free-agent market and a short while ago the Dolphins announced that Kai Locksley has been signed.
Hollins joined the Dolphins in 2019 after spending his first year and a half in the league with the Eagles. For the Dolphins, he has 176 yards on 16 receptions with one touchdown.
Locksley is unique as he was the quarterback for UTEP from 2018 to 2019 having 20 starts at the position. He threw 9 touchdowns against 14 interceptions but he will transition to WR for the Dolphins according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
The hill to climb to make the roster is a big one. The Dolphins have not released any receivers since free agency began and will enter off-season work, as of now, with Jakeem Grant, Allen Hurns, Albert Wilson, DeVante Parker, Lynn Bowden, Jr., Kyle Fuller, Kirk Merritt, and Robert Foster. The Dolphins also list Malcolm Perry as a RB/WR.
The chances that either player makes the roster is thin until the Dolphins start making changes to the unit by releasing players. Miami has not shown any indication that they plan to.
Their best chances will be for a spot on the Dolphins’ practice squad but even that is going to be tough given the youth on the team. It doesn’t hurt the Dolphins to bring in these types of players, or back as it relates to Hollins.
The Dolphins are also expected to add a wide receiver in the draft which will further add to a unit that will likely see only six players kept on the final 53.
