Jamin Davis or Jabril Cox would shore up Miami’s defense in the late second

Round 2 pick 50

Top options: Jamin Davis, Jabril Cox, Amon-Ra St.Brown, Pat Friermouth

The Dolphins’ defense does a good job of mixing EDGE rushers with dynamic linebackers that can stop the run and get to the quarterback. LSU’s Jabril Cox is a dynamic linebacker that has the athleticism to stay with tight ends and running backs while also getting to the quarterback. Kentucky’s Jamin Davis has been shooting up draft boards thanks to strong workouts and solid tape. Davis, who was compared to Darius Leonard by NFL draft expert Daniel Jeremiah, has the ability to impact the game at the linebacker position.

On the other side of the ball, the team could look to add USC wideout Amon-Ra St.Brown or Penn State standout tight end Pat Friermouth. If the Dolphins opt to go Pitts or Sewell with the sixth pick, the team would need to add a wideout with one of their other picks. St.Brown is an athletic wideout that has the ability to play any wideout spot and makes plays with the ball in his hand. Miami needs dynamic playmakers at wideout to make Tagovialoa’s life easier.

Friermouth is a massive body, 6-foot-5, 260-pounds, earning him the nickname ‘Baby Gronk.’ Friermouth excels as both a pass catcher and, thanks to his frame, as a blocker. Friermouth and Mike Gesicki would form a great Penn State tight end duo.
