Penei Sewell is the top offensive tackle in this year’s draft and has a lot of talent. He also has some questions. His measurables at his Oregon pro-day were not what many expected. His arm length was a little shorter than people had hoped for.

Sewell still believes he is the top choice but he has dropped from an almost certain pick at two to the Jets he now may drop as far as seven if not further.

If the Dolphins draft him they will have potentially passed on Chase, Pitts, DeVonta Smith, or Jaylen Waddle. This will not be something that many fans will be happy about. For starters, he is a left tackle and while the Dolphins have a need to get better on the outside, the reality is they need a stronger right tackle to block for Tua Tagovailoa’s blindside.

There is a question about drafting Sewell and playing on the side of the ball that Tua can see but would he be able to transition to the right side? That’s a question fans have. In the end, the Dolphins may want to fix their offensive line and Sewell would make sense but it surely isn’t going to be a flashy pick.
