Miami Dolphins: Best-case scenario 7-round 2021 mock draft
By Jeremy Klump
This is the best-case scenario mock draft, so I know that former Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons may not be here at pick 18. However, there is a real chance he does drop because of his off-field red flags. Teams will have to be comfortable with him off the field, but I think the Miami Dolphins will be one of those teams.
Miami has made it clear they are okay with off-field issues, and they will take risks, so I do not see this being an issue at all. If anything, Miami is more willing to take chances on players with off-field issues because they trust their building to get them to where they need to be.
On the field, Parsons is incredible. He is the perfect fit for head coach Brian Flores’ defense, and fans should really love the idea of Parsons coming to Miami. For starters, Parsons is so athletic, and it flashes on film every time you watch him. If you want to watch how incredible he was, watch him take over a game as a linebacker against Memphis in 2019.
That may just be one game, but trust me, he makes splash plays in every single game. He is so intelligent and savvy with the way he plays the game. He can read and react quickly, and even if he doesn’t react instantly, his 4.39 40-yard speed makes up for it.
Parsons can be an elite blitzing linebacker in the NFL, and he is scary when he shoots a gap. He plays the game at 100 miles per hour every single snap.
I may be the Pitts Train conductor, but Parsons is another player I am extremely high on. He will be a superstar in the NFL.
