Caden Sterns. 156. player. 851. . Safety. Longhorns

I have not mocked many safeties to the Miami Dolphins throughout the mock draft season, but one that has been growing on me is former Texas safety Caden Sterns. The former Texas defender was a highly rated recruit coming out of high school and shined in his freshman season.

He hasn’t been able to put it all together since, mainly because of injuries, but I think the Dolphins would be jumping with joy if he is on the board at pick 156. Sterns can play centerfield at free safety and make plays on the football. I love his range and athleticism and think he would be a great fit in Miami.

Mean Green . Jaelon Darden. 231. player. 2390. . Wide receiver

The Miami Dolphins need to move on from Jakeem Grant and Albert Wilson, in my opinion. Their contracts are not bad, but Miami can save cap space and replace their production pretty easily. I think former North Texas receiver Jaelon Darden would be the perfect guy to replace them. Darden is one of my favorite players in the 2021 NFL Draft, and I would love to see him in Miami’s new offense.

I have mocked Darden to Miami before, but it is because I really love the idea of replacing Wilson and Grant with him. Darden is a playmaker, and according to PFF, among the draft eligible slot wide receivers, Darden is first in catches (210), receiving yards (2,493), yards after catch (1,377), and touchdowns (33).

258. player. 820. . CB. Ducks . Deommodore Lenoir

The Miami Dolphins have a ton of cornerbacks already, but they take a flier on one who has some potential in the seventh round. Deommodore Lenoir is undersized but is a good, scrappy player. Lenoir would contribute to special teams and could one day progress to getting reps either at slot cornerback, or maybe he makes a switch to safety. Regardless, it would not hurt to take a flier on his talent.
