Miami Dolphins prospects get good injury update news from Alabama
By Brian Miller
The Miami Dolphins may draft two players from Alabama in the first round this year or they may not draft any of them. Still, good news today on their injury front.
It is being reported by Ian Rapoport that there has been good news on the injury fronts for three top Alabama prospects and all three of them could be in play at some point for Miami.
Najee Harris got good news on his ankle injury from last year and the report says that he is progressing well and should not have any issues with getting back up to full speed. That’s good news for teams like the Dolphins who may be looking at him as a mid-first to an early second-round draft pick.
The news on Jaylen Waddle who also had an ankle injury got good news from the medicals as well. His progression shouldn’t be a problem either and is expected to make a full recovery.
Finally, DeVonta Smith got good news on the injury to his finger that he suffered last year. The ligament damage isn’t going to be a problem for him in the future.
Now the question is whether or not the Dolphins really want any of those three. There are reports that Miami will go after a top receiver but it seems there has been a shift to Ja’Marr Chase recently but Chase is expected to be a top target of the Bengals should they not go offensive line.
As for Harris, the Dolphins may not see him as head and shoulders above the other runners in this draft and as such, could wait until round two to draft a running back. There are many in the media starting to think that Miami will go defense at 18, possibly Micah Parsons if he is there.
