Paye is a player that is hard to pin down in terms of where he is going to end up on draft night. It seems like he is consistently going in the 10-20 range, which means he could be available at 18, if the board falls the right way.

Paye is one of the better prospects at the EDGE position, even if he has some question marks about his consistency and the fact that he didn’t have an eye popping numbers at Michigan. It is clear, however, that there is some major upside with Paye because he is athletic enough to succeed at the position and has an endless motor that would keep him in plays longer than he should be. He is a quality defender both against the run and the pass, but could definitely improve his sack numbers. It might take him a year to make that number statistically, but he should still be a contributor

Paye also fills a need for the Dolphins. While they have some decent pass rush options in Emmanuel Ogbah and Andrew Van Ginkel, there is no clear pass rush threat that opposing offenses will have to game plan against. With the right coaching, Paye could go from a guy with upside to a dominant force in the pass rush game.
