While a lot of focus has been on what the Miami Dolphins will be doing on draft night in round 1, the Dolphins still have a lot of ammunition in the second round that can complement what should be a strong first-round showing.

Day two has always been the best spot for teams to really show what they know when it comes to drafting players and it is crucial for the Dolphins to get it right with their second and third-round picks.

Miami has two picks in the second round and should be able to secure two impact players who could even be starters on day one, depending on who they ended up getting. Miami could look to fill out the roster holes with these picks or choose to go for depth and sure up some of the weaker units on this team.

Regardless of which direction they go, Miami is sitting pretty with their selections and should be able to get solid players in round 2.

As it was in the pieces I posted about the Dolphins’ options at 6 and at 18, these three players are ones that I believe should be available at the 36th overall pick that I also like as options for the Dolphins, given a few different scenarios.
