*TRADE* The Miami Dolphins trade pick 36 and a 2022 3rd round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars for pick 33 for their future RB1.

The Dolphins likely need to trade up on Day 2 of the draft if they want to secure running back Javonte Williams, and that is what they do here. Williams is one of the top three running backs in the 2021 NFL Draft, and with Travis Etienne and Najee Harris already off the board, Miami can’t miss out on Williams.

That is why they give up the 2022 3rd to only move up three spots. It may be an overpay for some of you, but that’s how bad they need Williams today. I wouldn’t think twice about giving up that pick because Miami needs a running back.

Williams is a talented kid who runs hard and violent every single play. He will pick up three yards if you need two, and he is nearly impossible to tackle on the first attempt. Williams led the NCAA with 75 broken tackles in 2020.

Williams had a monster 2020 season, rushing for 1140 yards and 19 scores. He also added 25 receptions for 305 yards and three more scores. His 22 total touchdowns should be more than enough for the Dolphins to not want to miss out on his talent.

Adding him to the offense with Waddle, Fuller, Parker, and tight end Mike Gesicki would be an excellent core for Tagovailoa. And if Miami does get Williams, he needs to wear #34, and he shouldn’t be allowed to decide otherwise!

If Miami does not trade up for Williams, he will indeed be gone, and the next best running back available is Kenneth Gainwell from Memphis.
