Miami Dolphins post draft positional power rankings
By Brian Miller
The Miami Dolphins got rid of Kyle Van Noy in a surprise early off-season release and that had some fans scratching their heads. The Dolphins got equal production last year from Andrew Van Ginkel and traded for Bernardrick McKinney making Van Noy a cap release.
Miami this year will get Vince Biegel back from his year-long IR stint last year and have some quality players behind starter Jerome Baker. Miami likes to rotate their linebackers and use hybrid schemes to hide their coverage and blitzes.
Miami has a lot of experience at linebacker. Brennan Scarlett and Elandon Roberts both have six years of experience while McKinney has seven. Miami also added Duke Riley, a five-year veteran.
This unit will go through some changes as the off-season winds through to September. With 10 players on the roster, obviously, not everyone will make the team.
Miami could have used some help in the draft but nothing really fell Miami’s way and that led to them moving around to other positions that they were high on. Still, there is no denying that this year’s unit should be as good if not better than last year and I would tend to lean on the better side.
