The Miami Dolphins wide receiver unit was already pretty good after they added Will Fuller in free agency. Now they are a lot better after drafting Jaylen Waddle in round one.

Waddle and Fuller give Miami a lot of speed at the position and when you add in Jakeem Grant and Lynn Bowden, Jr., you get even more speed and versatility.

The problem Miami has is that they have too many receivers. Way too many receivers. 12 receivers are on the roster after drafting Waddle and the roster is loaded with talent.

In addition to those mentioned above, DeVante Parker is the team’s outside number one receiver and Preston Williams is on the other side, while Albert Wilson and Allen Hurns return from their 2020 opt-out. Miami also added the speedy Robert Foster in free agency as well.

If that were not enough, the Dolphins have some quality depth that are still developing but won’t likely find a roster spot. Kirk Merritt, Mach Hollins, and Kail Locksley.

Miami will likely only carry six receivers so six of those mentioned above may not be on the roster come September but who and how Miami trims this unit is going to be interesting. The Dolphins may very well have the best receiving corps in the entire NFL and still are not the best unit on the team.
