Miami Dolphins fans have been chomping at the bit to get the new player numbers so they can buy new jerseys and now, they have been issued.

The Dolphins announced on social media yesterday the new uniform numbers for their rookie class and the shifting of some veterans. In all, 34 players were listed to have new numbers. Some veterans took advantage of the new league rules while others gave up their number for an incoming rookie.

Most notable of the rookie class is Jaylen Waddle who wear his college number, 17 and Jevon Holland who will wear 22 but changes up and down the roster occurred including Albert Wilson with a new number as well as Allen Hurns.

Last year no one on the Dolphins roster wore number 17 so Waddle was expected to remain with that number but that wasn’t the case for Jaylen Phillips who is now wearing 15. Two years ago 15 belonged to Albert Wilson but Wilson opted out of the 2020 season and it was reassigned to Lynn Bowden, Jr. This year Bowden and Wilson both will get new numbers.
