Miami Dolphins finally issue jersey numbers for rookies and vets
By Brian Miller
The Miami Dolphins have shifted a couple of players around early and that has left some numbers open between 20 and 39, but of coure there is no 39 since it retired with Larry Csonka.
For now, no player on the Dolphins roster is wearing number 20. Miami’s next set of numbers pick up with number 21, currently worn by Eric Rowe. Reshad Jones was the last player to wear number 20.
Jevon Holland was selected in round two and has been given 22, his college number was 8, could he switch if Allen Hurns doesn’t make the roster? Matt Breida wore the number last year.
At 23, Gerrid Doaks, Miami’s 7th round pick will wear the number that was worn by Noah Igbinoghene. Igbinoghene switched to 9 this year.
Byron Jones retains number 24 and Xavien Howard will keep his 25. Salvon Ahmed stays at 26. The rest look like this.
27 – Justin Coleman
28 – Jordan Scarlett: Scarlett takes over 28 after Bobby McCain was released earlier this week.
29 – Brandon Jones
30 – Jason McCourty who was signed this week on a one-year deal.
34 – Malcolm Brown
35 – CB Terrell Bonds
