Week 18: vs New England Patriots

The rare week 18 game. Well, it won’t be rare anymore, but you get the idea.

Miami’s season ends the way it began: against New England. I have Miami taking the first meeting based on the lack of real playing time that New England’s new roster will be lacking. I can’t imagine that they are still having those same issues as in week 1, so this game might be a bit closer.

I do, however, expect that at this point in the season, Miami could be facing a different quarterback in Mac Jones. I get the vibe that if Cam Newton struggles in a similar way to last season, that the Patriots could pull him in favor of their 2021 first-round pick. I can’t exactly say when this will happen in the season, but I feel pretty confident that Mac Jones will be going against his former college teammate in this one.

Regardless of if it’s Cam Newton or Jones, I think this season is primed for the first sweep of New England by the Dolphins in a very long time. Miami is gonna take this one and return to the playoffs for the first time in the last few seasons.

Dolphins record: 11-6
