I recognize that I have Miami sitting at 3-0 to start the season. This game has the potential to be their first trip up.

Indianapolis is a good squad and has a top 5 defense when everyone is healthy. Their offense last season was pretty good, too. The big question mark for the Colts is at quarterback.

Indianapolis traded for Carson Wentz in the offseason with the hopes that a reunion with former coach Frank Reich can help salvage Wentz’s career. There is a lot of hope that this is the case and that Wentz will thrive in Indianapolis. In reality, if he can duplicate even a little bit of the pseudo-MVP season that he had before his ACL tear, this Colts team will be an AFC team to watch towards the end of the season.

At this point in the predictions, Miami has done a solid job of winning tough games against tough opponents. I think this has to be a spot where Miami trips up a bit and maybe struggles against the Indianapolis running game.

Miami is due for a bit of an off-game and their first loss of the season will come against a quality defense who may force a few turnovers that the offense just isn’t able to overcome in this one.

Dolphins Record: 3-1
