With the draft and the bulk of free agency behind us, the Miami Dolphins have added contributors to the team. The adherence to the best-player-available draft strategy has shown that the brain trust of Grier and Flores is committed to improving long-term and adding depth to the roster. The immediate downside to this approach is that it has left the team relatively thin in certain areas. In free agency, the team couldn’t afford to bolster every need on the roster.

Thankfully the additions of Jaylen Waddle and Will Fuller have addressed the number one issue from last season, a lack of playmakers on offense. The team has devoted four early-round draft picks to offensive linemen in the last two years, all of whom are poised to play big roles this season.

On the other side of the ball, Brian Flores wants to build the defense from the back, as has been done with great success at his former organization in New England. Miami has the second-highest paid secondary in the league, set to earn $49.9 million this year, collectively. Only the Patriots are spending more, at $63.2 million. The Dolphins have also committed significant draft capital in safety Javon Holland and nickel-corner Noah Igbinoghene.

The offseason shuffling will promote some players to larger roles within the team, as well as enhance some already key players. Here are three guys whose stock is up this season.
