Miami Dolphins 2021 schedule: 4 games with interesting side notes
By Brian Miller
The Miami Dolphins will see the rematch of Tua Tagovailao and former Clemson star Trevor Lawrence.
Drafted number one overall, Lawrence and Tagovailoa have a competitive history that extends to the National Championship in 2019. The Clemson Tigers took Alabama to the cleaners in that game posting 44 points against the Crimson Tide’s 16.
Lawerence threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns in the game exposing all of the Alabama defensive problems. On the other side of the field, Alabama couldn’t match the scoring barrage by the Tigers.
Tagovailoa threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns but also threw two interceptions as well.
Making this game in London against Jacksonville more interesting, the Dolphins will also showcase Jaylen Waddle who in that NCAA championship game caught two passes for 25 yards but on the other side of the ball, Travi Etienne who was also drafted by the Jaguars later in the first round of April’s draft, rushed 14 times for 86 yards and two touchdowns.
This week six contest will take the Dolphins back overseas to London this time as the visiting team. Miami is 1-4 in NFL International Series games. Three of those games, all losses came when Miami was the “home” team. This year Miami will be the “visiting” team.
