Yes, the Miami Dolphins have Tua Tagovailoa and Jacoby Brissett as the one-two combination at quarterback but Reid Sinnett is completely unproven.

Miami is not likely going to enter training camp with only three quarterbacks. The free-agent market is going to produce a top signal-caller either but the Dolphins don’t need one. They need someone who can handle fourth-team reps and maybe in the process find a gem to compete with Sinnett or maybe even Brissett.

Miami’s options for that 4th QB or competition for Sinnett could see Miami bringing back Jake Rudock to the team. Rudock has bounced off and on Miami’s squad and last year the Dolphins opted to stick with Sinnett.

Other quarterbacks on the market include Matt Barkley, Brett Hundley, and even Robert Griffin, III. That being said, if the Dolphins want to add a QB, their best option may be Nick Mullens who has 16 starts in his three-year career.

Mullens has some potential to develop and could compete with Sinnett for the 3rd QB spot and maybe eventually replace Brissett as QB number 2. Brissett is on a one-year deal with Miami.
