Chris Simms is ranking the top 40 QBs in the NFL and apparently doesn’t think too highly of Miami Dolphins QB, Tua Tagovailoa.

Considering that there are 32 teams in the NFL, Tua’s 34th rank means that someone who isn’t starting ranks higher than him. Simm’s, via his videos on “Unbuttoned”, says that Tua has risen from 40 last year. So he moved up six spots.

Simms says he likes Tagovailoa but clearly he doesn’t think this guy has it as far as the NFL. Ranked below him, Justin Fields comes in at 39 but above him sits Zach Wilson and Trevor Lawerence. Neither of them has taken a single snap at the next level.

Coming in at 40 was Case Keenum of the Browns. Rookie Trey Lance was slotted in the 38th spot one spot ahead of Fields but Simms put Kellen Mond ahead of them all. He comes in at number 37. While Lawerence is ranked 28th, Simms ranked Zach Wilson one spot ahead of him.

Simms is rolling these out in sections of five as he counts down to the best but do we really need to continue listening to him? Simms may say that he is a fan of Tua’s but there is really no reason to rank him below the incoming freshman. It’s rather disrespectful to Tua but we have seen him do these things before.

As for Tua, it’s just another day facing criticism from the mainstream media but it will be on his own shoulders to prove them all wrong. Of course, it was mentioned by some on social media that if he does succeed, the media will simply say Miami had to surround with expensive talent.
