Miami Dolphins knock off Patriots and earn playoff spot

The Miami Dolphins will punch their playoff ticket in week 18 of the 2021 season when they beat the New England Patriots at home in Miami. The Dolphins will earn their 11th win of the season but will it be enough to win the AFC East?

Not this year, I figure the Bills will win 12 games at minimum and will take the division championship. By this time, it will be interesting to see where the Patriots are in the division. If Cam Newton can play like he did in his MVP season in Carolina, the Patriots will be on top of the division but he is far removed from that player.

More likely scenario, the Patriots are going to be playing Mac Jones at quarterback by this time and the Tua Tagovailoa vs. Mac Jones rivalry will begin.

The Dolphins are playing for post season seeding if not for a place in the playoffs. After the embarrassing loss to Buffalo a year ago, Brian Flores isn’t likely going to let his team put up another final showing like 2020.

If this all plays out as predicted, the Miami Dolphins will finish the 2021 season with 11 wins and six losses. Several games could go either way and if the Dolphins can beat teams like Atlanta, New Orleans, and Tennessee, they could be sitting in the drivers seat for the AFC East.
