What should the Miami Dolphins do if Tua Tagovailoa stinks in 2021?

The Miami Dolphins give Tua Tagovailoa another year, just like the Buffalo Bills did for Josh Allen.

This answer was a popular one and for a good reason. Dolphins fans know firsthand what a team can do if their quarterback is given three years to show he’s the guy like the Bills did with Allen. Miami fans get to see it two times a year, as Allen has progressed into one of the best young quarterbacks in the game.

Dolphins fans love to focus on Allen’s case study and use it as the main argument on why Miami needs to give Tagovailoa time to progress.

I may be taking the easy road here again, but honestly, I’m in the middle of this debate again. I agree that only giving Tagovailoa one year after all he’s dealt with and the COVID-19 mess is craziness.

Tagovailoa deserves a full offseason of being healthy without training restrictions and an entire season in 2021 before I can honestly give my opinion.

My last point on this scenario would be it depends on how bad Tagovailoa played. If he showed no signs of greatness, it would be hard to bite the bullet for a third year when Miami’s roster looks ready to compete.

Miami fans may also turn on Tagovailoa, even more than the Tua Haters that already have.
