Wilks: Predicting the Miami Dolphins record down the stretch

The NFL season is winding down but are the Miami Dolphins in the thick of the playoff chase or are they finding themselves outside hoping for help? The final weeks will show us what kind of team the Dolphins are. Now, we wrap up Jeremy Wilks’ 2021 Miami Dolphins schedule predictions.

Week 13: vs. New York Giants

The Giants have a very tough schedule to this point. I do not see anyone in their division running away with it, so they will be desperate to win this one. The Dolphins are 13 weeks into the season without having their bye so some fatigue sets in. The Dolphins fall just short in a disappointing game that they are supposed to win.

Prediction: Giants win 24-21

Week 14: BYE

Week 15: vs. New York Jets

This is a must-win for the Dolphins heading into the closing stretch of the season. They will be coming off a bye and a tough loss to the Giants in week 13. I think the Dolphins come out on fire in this one and dominate this one from start to finish.

Prediction: Dolphins win 38-13

Week 16: @ New Orleans Saints

This is a very tough matchup for the Dolphins as they head to New Orleans for Monday Night Football. I think this is a high scoring affair in the dome, but I think the defensive line for New Orleans makes the big plays in the end and comes out victorious

Prediction: Saints win 35-28

Week 17: @ Tennessee Titans

A short week for Miami and a long week for the Titans could be a recipe for disaster in this one. The Titans will be at home those two weeks while the Dolphins will be on the road for these two weeks as well. Derrick Henry has a monster game and the Titans control the clock and win this one handily.

Prediction: Titans win 27-14

Week 18: vs. New England Patriots

This will be a massive game for Miami as they compete for a wild-card spot in the AFC East. Miami was in this same spot just a year ago and laid an egg against the Buffalo Bills. I think the Dolphins win this one and book their first trip to the post-season since 2016.

Prediction: Dolphins win 21-17
