After predicting the Miami Dolphins would go 3-3 through the first six weeks of the season, we turn to the middle of the season where teams begin to make big moves or start their collapse. The Dolphins do not have a cakewalk schedule during the next phase of games.

Week 7: vs. Atlanta Falcons

I think this is one of those spots where the defense will beat a good offense. The Falcons’ defense is abysmal and it will be difficult for them to score against the Dolphins’ defense. This is a great spot for Tua as he gets the team over .500 with some momentum heading into week 8.

Prediction: Dolphins win 27-14

Week 8: @ Buffalo Bills

I think that the Dolphins take advantage of not playing in Buffalo on the freezing cold December days. They pull off an upset win in Buffalo and head into the second half of the season on a three-game winning streak.

Prediction: Dolphins win 21-20

Week 9: vs. Houston Texans

The Miami Dolphins are red hot heading into this one. I think that the Dolphins will be looking ahead a little bit to their Thursday night game against Baltimore in week 10. However, the Dolphins still pull this one out in a mid-season scare of a game.

Prediction: Dolphins win 24-21

Week 10: vs. Baltimore Ravens

This is a very difficult game for the Dolphins on a short week. The Dolphins have a difficult time with run-first quarterbacks and things do not change in this one. Lamar runs all over them and the Ravens win this one fairly easily.

Prediction: Ravens win 28-13

Week 11: @ New York Jets

The Dolphins have 10 days to prepare for this divisional matchup. Off a tough loss to the Ravens in the previous week, the Dolphins bounce back and take of business in New York. Coach Flores prepares an outstanding game plan against rookie QB, Zach Wilson and they win a barn burner.

Prediction: Dolphins win 20-14

Week 12: vs. Carolina Panthers

The Dolphins close off this spectacular midseason stretch with another home win versus the Panthers. The Dolphins home schedule is very favorable this season and it is a difficult place to play due to the hot weather. I think the Dolphins head into the closing stretch of the season with a solid 4-2 home record.

Prediction: Dolphins win 27-23

Overall Record (Weeks 1-12): 8-4
